The number of Baby Boomers in Canada continues to rise and requires ongoing support, care and attention from family members, the community as well as our agency. We have dedicated programs, workshops and events designed specifically for the health and social well being of those aged 65 years and older.
A focus for this year is to develop long lasting and impactful relationships between youth and seniors. Youth volunteer their time and skills to learn from and learn more about some of our most valued members. Also, we're building a compassionate care program involving support animals which will reduce the affects of isolation and loneliness among those living alone.
Our work with elderly individuals, residences, facilities and churches fills the gaps for those remaining healthy and active after retirement.
